The concept to manufacture Vanity Varnish color pigment powder was created by professional fine artist Nando Moller. The different individual colors can be mixed with one another to create the ideal preference of any other shade of color.
Vanity Varnish and Colortone have joined forces to take this exciting new product to the retail paint and hardware, art and craft stores.
Vanity Varnish is available in 13 colors:
Any of these colors mixed with Colortones Wood Varnish in Clear, will produce a water washed finish, whilst mixed with Colortone Wood Coat in white, will produce a pastel finish.
- Colortone Varnish 1 Liter
- Vanity Varnish Pigment Color
- Varnish brush or sponge
Prepare a suitable surface or work space that is well ventilated with good light.
Prepare the wood surface by removing all existing coatings.
Make sure that the wood surface is dry and free of dirt, dust and oil.
Dilute 10% of the quantity of the Colortone Wood Varnish with an equal quantity of mineral turpentine.
Mix the Vanity Varnish color pigment with the rest of the undiluted varnish. Make sure that every coat is dry before the next one is applied.
Apply a third coat if necessary.
Drying is approximately 6 hours.
Product coverage is about 10-12 sqm per liter.
